[When Ieyasu had pressed him about what sorts of things and relationships he'd experienced before meeting him, he hadn't meant for him to take 'Ask Kanetsugu!' literally.

Except Kanetsugu called him after work to tell him that Ieyasu had called to ask, and so, like a good friend, Kanetsugu had told him some juicy stories.

Mitsunari made a mental note to get back at him somehow.

But right.

....he's thinking it's approaching storytime now, as he opens the door to their apartment and sets his bag aside.]

Well I've had some time to digest the information- I suppose it's... nothing too out of the blue.

Mm. I suppose of the stories Kanetsugu could have told, they were mostly harmless.

[Nuuuzzling into Ieyasu's neck idly.]

I don't know, I presume I didn't hear all of them so I'm not sure what you consider harmless.

Did you have plans for the night?

[A smile and he pulls away from the hug, but only to tug Ieyasu towards the couch.

Then perhaps it could be a story night. I admit I'm curious to hear more about your life as well.

He winces for a moment, making a face.]

[a slight laugh]

[And then he flops on the couch, pulling Mitsunari into his lap.]

But I suppose we can start now.

He leans against Ieyasu's chest, thinking for a moment.

My first relationship was with a girl. She was a sweet thing, but...very outgoing.

Also less honest than I expected.

I was always told to be affectionate and giving with those that I care for!

... so I'm not sure if you want a list of everything since I first kissed a girl I had a puppy crush on during pre-school, Mitsunari.

So he buries his face into Ieyasu's shirt and laughs.]

A hand comes up to run through Mitsunari's hair as Ieyasu just shrugs weakly.]

I never went through the "girls have cooties" phase.

[....ah, man. He just quietly nuzzles into Ieyasu's chest, sighing as he rests there and gets his laughter under control.

[His tone is warm, though.]

For the sake of argument, then--the first time it was a conscious action, and you knew what it meant fully.

[Which by his reckoning would put them at high school age at the earliest.]

[A soft sigh and he presses one of those affectionate kisses to the top of Mitsunari's head.]

I treasured my sister and it somehow extended slightly to all the girls I met.

[Another slight shrug but uh. Anyway-]

But that sounds fair. So... when was your first relationship exactly?

Freshman year of high school, then, I would suppose.

[A thoughtful pause.]

Mm...the fact that she was older than me should have been a warning, looking back.

... Senior Prom, probably.

I'd been with my girlfriend for a year and while I admit we'd kissed before... that was probably the first time I saw the fireworks everyone had talked about.

A shame since we'd both be leaving in less than a month- but I thought in that lovestruck teenaged moment that maybe I could spend the rest of my life with her.

... but then she broke up with me because long-distance wasn't her thing and that's fine. We went on a date or two when we came back to the area for breaks. She was lovely- simply radiant.
