[When Ieyasu had pressed him about what sorts of things and relationships he'd experienced before meeting him, he hadn't meant for him to take 'Ask Kanetsugu!' literally.

Except Kanetsugu called him after work to tell him that Ieyasu had called to ask, and so, like a good friend, Kanetsugu had told him some juicy stories.

Mitsunari made a mental note to get back at him somehow.

But right.

....he's thinking it's approaching storytime now, as he opens the door to their apartment and sets his bag aside.]

N-not all of my relationships were that way...!

[a slight laugh]

I wouldn't know, you've never told me about them.

[And then he flops on the couch, pulling Mitsunari into his lap.]

He leans against Ieyasu's chest, thinking for a moment.

My first relationship was with a girl. She was a sweet thing, but...very outgoing.

Also less honest than I expected.

I was always told to be affectionate and giving with those that I care for!

... so I'm not sure if you want a list of everything since I first kissed a girl I had a puppy crush on during pre-school, Mitsunari.

So he buries his face into Ieyasu's shirt and laughs.]

A hand comes up to run through Mitsunari's hair as Ieyasu just shrugs weakly.]

What can I say?

I never went through the "girls have cooties" phase.

[....ah, man. He just quietly nuzzles into Ieyasu's chest, sighing as he rests there and gets his laughter under control.

So affectionate, darling.

[His tone is warm, though.]

For the sake of argument, then--the first time it was a conscious action, and you knew what it meant fully.

[Which by his reckoning would put them at high school age at the earliest.]

[A soft sigh and he presses one of those affectionate kisses to the top of Mitsunari's head.]

I treasured my sister and it somehow extended slightly to all the girls I met.

[Another slight shrug but uh. Anyway-]

But that sounds fair. So... when was your first relationship exactly?

[t-too cute...]

Freshman year of high school, then, I would suppose.

[A thoughtful pause.]

Mm...the fact that she was older than me should have been a warning, looking back.

How... much older?

Not that much older.

[And by that he means she was still in high school. That works, right?]

I wasn't that clueless, thank you.

I meant a freshman and a senior pair always turns heads, Mitsunari.

It did not last long regardless, as such relationships do.

So with the proper definition--when was your first kiss?

That probably says a lot already.]

... Senior Prom, probably.

I'd been with my girlfriend for a year and while I admit we'd kissed before... that was probably the first time I saw the fireworks everyone had talked about.

A shame since we'd both be leaving in less than a month- but I thought in that lovestruck teenaged moment that maybe I could spend the rest of my life with her.

... but then she broke up with me because long-distance wasn't her thing and that's fine. We went on a date or two when we came back to the area for breaks. She was lovely- simply radiant.

It's kind of touching. To see that much care and love for someone still, even after the fact--

His fiance is truly the kindest sort of person.

So Mitsunari smiles gently at that, nodding against Ieyasu's chest and humming.]

She sounds it. It sounds like it was a good night.

Oh, it was the best! I came out as the undisputed Arm Wrestling Champion for our entire class.

... and I guess the dancing and such was fun too. An excuse to make use of those lessons I had to go through when I was younger.

[a soft shudder-

What of your first kiss, Mitsunari?

[...snerk. Oh. Arm Wrestling.

...but hmm.]

My first kiss...?

The sort you were speaking of--the kind that feels like it can make your blood tingle? ...Mm, I suppose it would've been my senior year as well, though not at anything as illustrious as Prom.

...Also I'd only known her for a few weeks. And she didn't stick around long after.

It's probably more accurate to say it was a farewell kiss more than anything.

[...hrm.]

...It sounds more concerning than it was. ...Probably.

[...he likes exciting people.]

He can't really help himself, he'll just. Pull Mitsunari a bit closer and press a kiss to his cheek.]

He looks honestly confused at that.]

A sigh and he presses a softer kiss to Mitsunari's lips.]

It saddens me to think of your heart being treated in such a way.

His hasubando is absolutely adorable.

He leans into the kiss gently for a moment, and when he continues his tone is equally gentle.]

I knew she would have to leave, and she did as well. It was worth it for the time that was given to it, I think.
