Stories;
[When Ieyasu had pressed him about what sorts of things and relationships he'd experienced before meeting him, he hadn't meant for him to take 'Ask Kanetsugu!' literally.
Except Kanetsugu called him after work to tell him that Ieyasu had called to ask, and so, like a good friend, Kanetsugu had told him some juicy stories.
Mitsunari made a mental note to get back at him somehow.
But right.
....he's thinking it's approaching storytime now, as he opens the door to their apartment and sets his bag aside.]

... and I guess the dancing and such was fun too. An excuse to make use of those lessons I had to go through when I was younger.
[a soft shudder-
but um]
What of your first kiss, Mitsunari?
no subject
...but hmm.]
My first kiss...?
[...]
The sort you were speaking of--the kind that feels like it can make your blood tingle? ...Mm, I suppose it would've been my senior year as well, though not at anything as illustrious as Prom.
...Also I'd only known her for a few weeks. And she didn't stick around long after.
It's probably more accurate to say it was a farewell kiss more than anything.
[...hrm.]
...It sounds more concerning than it was. ...Probably.
[...he likes exciting people.]
no subject
He can't really help himself, he'll just. Pull Mitsunari a bit closer and press a kiss to his cheek.]
You're starting to make me worry about you, you know.
no subject
He looks honestly confused at that.]
Really? Why...?
[Blink.]
no subject
[ . . . okay it's not even that.
A sigh and he presses a softer kiss to Mitsunari's lips.]
It saddens me to think of your heart being treated in such a way.
no subject
His hasubando is absolutely adorable.
He leans into the kiss gently for a moment, and when he continues his tone is equally gentle.]
I knew she would have to leave, and she did as well. It was worth it for the time that was given to it, I think.
no subject
I would suppose so...
[and nuzzling Mitsunari's cheek gently.
you can guide the topics, waifu. he'll answer as you please.]
no subject
Was she your first relationship, or were there others before?
no subject
[It's a very quick answer-]
Technically speaking, I mean. She was the first one that I thought of a future with, but I'd had a few girlfriends in high school. I... admit that I didn't go for long without one- perhaps a month at most.
[ . . . ]
Not that I played with them! Absolutely not- my relationships had a tendency to last for... quite a time, even back then.
They were all wonderful girls and I think I remember almost all of their names... I remember their favorite foods for certain though.
[a bright smile!!]
I made their bento on the days when they had tests in the classes they disliked the most.
no subject
And he laughs. Ha!
Ieyasu is too cute alksndas.]
What a boyfriend you must have made in high school, Ieyasu!
It's no wonder you were never long without a girlfriend.
[girls swoon for guys who can cook for them, trufax]
no subject
I don't know, I must've failed in certain spots and I probably did. I was rather... incredibly busy. Between the argument of being my father's successor, managing studies, balancing sports and clubs-
It didn't surprise me when one of them asked to break up. It hurt a bit and I apologized to them- but I understood.
You could actually probably ask my sister. Kumiko told some of them to just break up with me because she was tired of hearing their complaints-
[ . . . pfffff. His sister. Still one of his favorite people in the world.]
no subject
He reaches up to cup Ieyasu's cheek with his hand gently, lightly running his thumb over the ridge of Ieyasu's cheekbone.]
Mm...Somehow, it doesn't surprise me that you were busy.
But I see...So that's how it went...
[somehow he feels all the more grateful to Kumiko now--]
no subject
It's alright. They deserved better- I actually had some of my friends go out with them a few months later and it worked out much better. They were able to find nice guys who treated them well and were able to take the time to spend time with them.
It was rude of me to agree to going out with them when I didn't have the time to properly devote to them anyway...
But I suppose the important part was that they learned they really shouldn't be treated as anything less than a princess.
[A firm nod. Something he was proud of in high school- when he was there, he was a damn good boyfriend.]
no subject
...Ha. T-too cute.]
What a charmer, Ieyasu.
[A contented hum.]
Putting that charisma to good use, mm?
[s-sob his boyfriend is so charming he can't take it.]
no subject
Something I had going for me, I guess.
Though you act as if Kumiko wouldn't have had my head if I ever treated a girl badly.
[he grins and... decides he needs to learn something about Mitsunari that he's now very curious about-]
So.
To this day, I'm pretty sure I'm bisexual and by that I mean so in love with you it hardly even matters-
But I've actually never bothered to ask what you identify with.
[Because despite the fact that Mitsunari is now sitting in his lap and accept his affection, they've only been talking about girls...]
no subject
But before he can respond to that, Ieyasu has continued, so he just focuses on that question. And he seems affectively unbothered by it.
A grin.]
Are you asking about the first relationship I had with a guy, then? I think it is rather clear my orientation is more or less the same as yours by now.
[c:]
no subject
... well.
Yeah.
I mean... [a soft chuckle and a sheepish grin] In this situation...
You truly are my one and only.
no subject
Mm...]
We'd be introduced at a party--to be friends. This would have been during my second semester of college.
[...oh college. So many exciting things--
But right, story.]
I ended up dragging him home because he'd drank something bad.
[The rule is to never drink anything you don't see poured in front of you. Looks like he'd missed that memo.]
He wanted to make it up to me--when he'd woken up and had gotten over his hangover. [A chuckle.] I suppose our mutual acquaintances had given him my number, because he called me and invited me out to coffee to make up for it.
[...a thoughtful pause.]
...It didn't strike me as a date until he continued to invite me out places alone.
no subject
Ieyasu kind of just proceeds to hold Mitsunari a bit closer to him and buries his face quietly in Mitsunari's hair.
A hum. He's listening.]
no subject
When I figured it out, I was pretty amused, I have to admit. He was nice though, gentlemanly almost.
...Very naive though.
[...sigh.]
He also wasn't fond of how much time I tended to put into my work--both school and the job I had at the time.
[Yeah that didn't work out at all.]
no subject
[A soft kiss pressed to the top of Mitsunari's head.
He'll let his waifu finish the story.]
no subject
It ended about as well as you could imagine. We argued over how much time I dedicated to my work; I refused to lessen my dedication to it...
We were both stubborn, I suppose, so that was that.
[...pretty simple, right?]
no subject
[A nod and he quietly nuzzles Mitsunari's cheek.]
For what it counts... I'm very happy you know what's important to you.
no subject
There is only one time I've ever questioned my priorities.
