jofurr[When not weaving plots and plans, spending time with Tony or taunting the Avengers, Loki found he spent his free time in much the same way he had in times of old; with spell books and histories, attempting to wind the fact from myth, the magic from the impossible. It was never particularly easy work, but Loki, much like Tony, worked better when faced with a challenge, lest he be bored before he even began.
He had been working on this little piece of work for quite some time now; two or three weeks at the least, whenever he had a brief moment to examine and cross-reference and occasionally snag a spell book or two from Asgard.
But he was not forced to work in secluded corners of the garden or his room or the library. It did not matter if he remained poring over the text in the living room or the kitchen--
And that was a liberating thing, though he did not seem to notice consciously.
But he was in the living room when he cracked it, and there was quite a bit of energy humming along his spine that he jumped to his feet, expression shifting into something that was frighteningly an honest grin, because he found himself always honestly excited when he accomplished something of this magnitude, and so perhaps he was not thinking entirely straight when he saw that Tony was there--
Because he has felt comfortable enough in Tony's presence now that he automatically moves towards him.]
Tony--!
[Ah, his excitement.]
