Faces;
[...he's bored.
And amidst his plotting, a bored Norse god is no good.
Lost as he is. Humanized as he is.
It's daytime now, and he paces, able to leave his room but temporarily alone. But he knows Tony has security measures.
He knows it. He doesn't try anything rash. But he does inspect the technology--
And then he makes faces at one of the cameras.

Or well, that's what it looks like in his head with his glorious helmet.]

Is it all a facade then, Tony Stark?
[just saying. if you're pretending--
Consider it curiosity.]
no subject
[Tony has more of his own drink to punctuate the end of that question.
He's not sure which facade Loki means. It doesn't really matter to him. He's stopped questioning whatever he feels like doing.
Even when half the world tells him to think more on his actions.]
no subject
Hm.
Perhaps.
[Another sip of his drink, and he falls silent. He honestly...doesn't have that much to say at the moment. He has too much to think about.]
no subject
But what else can he say?
So he says nothing, only having some more of his drink as he looks out of the window and into the city landscape before them- still rebuilding as it is.
He nudges the bottle that is set on the counter closer to Loki- right in the middle of them.
'Serve yourself,' he means to say. But he doesn't.]
no subject
He notes the action. But he is taking this glass much more slowly.
He sips.
And after a long moment, he speaks again, voice quiet.]
You are likely correct. [A first, that he would say so--]
Thor will realize his mistake.
[But he does not hope for it.
Because going back to Asgard in captivity is not going home.
And he falls silent again. He's not fishing for pity, and he intends to make that clear--]
You will not have to suffer through my company for much longer.
no subject
But Tony is surprised when Loki speaks again, glancing over curiously because alright, he's... curious. It's not every day that he gets close to leading to a former god's mental breakdown.
It's not as if Thor was nearly so intricate.
His answer comes after he drinks some more.]
You're going to have to deal with whatever's eating at you, either way. No matter where you are.
[He knows that much pretty well.]
no subject
[A faint chuckle, perhaps faintly unhinged.]
And I attempted to 'deal with it'.
[...his attempt to deal with it was to prove to his father that he could live outside of Thor's shadow.
...ha. He drinks.]
no subject
Yes, I was looking at the results of your attempts to deal with it.
[But he'll just. Have some more of his drink before he mentions how the Empire State Building had to replace all those windows.]
Except as long as you pose a threat to earth, it may be a concern of mine.
[Just saying.]
no subject
[...that might even be the truth.
He truly did never have the ambition he really needed to be--]
no subject
[Idle question.
He's a billionaire and not yet a politician, it's not like he cares all too much about one of the most thriving cities in the world that will undoubtedly get back on its feet just fine.]
no subject
He focuses on his drink.
No...he hadn't intended to cause damage either. But--]
Would you believe me, regardless of what I answer?
no subject
Is this honesty hour with the greatest liar in Norse mythology?
It may be.]
Probably not for a minute or two- or maybe the better part of the night. I'd probably have to sleep on it.
I'll let you know in the morning if I buy into it or not.
[And that answer is as genuine as he can make it.]
no subject
You are such a curious mortal, Tony Stark.
You know what I am, who I am, what I am capable of, and yet you continue with this...
[...facade? Is that what it is?]
no subject
No, we're not doing this again.
Don't think, drink.
no subject
Strange.
But he's too weary to press (or that is what he tells himself); this mortal form gets tired so easily...
...He drinks, mouth twisted in some sort of disgruntled expression.
But otherwise, he is quiet.]
no subject
So his mouth runs without his consent after he takes another drink.]
... but to clarify, I don't make the best decisions all the time. But what's it matter if it's just you and me stuck in here?
no subject
Alas.]
What does it matter indeed...
I suppose it is of no consequence at all. At least...not at the moment.
no subject
But Tony doesn't say that. Instead he merely continues to drink.]
Are you really going to leave me hanging though?
[As to why you did it-
They were just at the good part.]
no subject
[Unhesitatingly.
...and maybe that's a bit of the tell-tale smirk as he sips at his drink once again.]
no subject
You are quite the incorrigible ass.
[And he'll just.
Go ahead and drink some more.]
no subject
[to be an ass.
Yeah.
welp.]
no subject
[A scoff and... his glass is empty.
So he will also be a bit of an ass and extends his hand.]
One for one, I poured you a glass already.
[like an hour ago or maybe half of one he lost track of time]
no subject
So maybe they've been a little chummy but you just stepped over the line quite a bit, Tony.
So he lifts his glass.
And offers it in a mocking, toast-like gesture.
And then he dumps what remains of it over Tony's head, setting it down on the counter with a clink and standing to stalk away to what is his temporary quarters.
Yep.]
no subject
And he pulls out the remote in his pocket that controls all of the devices in the Tower-
Now setting every doorway to send out an electric shock when so much as nudged.]
no subject
Now we are equals.
[Perhaps he meant to say 'even'--but equals is what slipped out.]
