offspring[Arthur tries very, very hard all the time, he really does.
That...doesn't mean he's necessarily good at what he does, though. He knows, deep down, that his mother was a ridiculously talented thunder mage, the best of the best, major Tordo blood running through her veins, and by extension his.
So theoretically, he should be able to use this Mjolnir tome.
Theoretically.
Unfortunately, he's definitely underestimating how much work it takes it master a tome like this (or overestimating his own ability), and thus when he tries to cast the spell to practice it, it backfires immensely; he drops the spell tome with a curse and clutches his hand to his chest, and all he has to show for the attempts are some burn marks along his hand and arm.
