But honestly, Mitsunari has done well enough, forgetting Ieyasu. Not well--he really hasn't forgotten him at all--but he's been able to push the traitor from his mind and that eases the ache.
Anger. Ache.
Same thing, to his mind, at this point.
That he would spend time with Sakon is only natural; Sakon is, after all, his vassal. They've just finished some duty or other, report to Hideyoshi-sama completed as well, and everything went without a hitch. And thus...Mitsunari is content.
About as content as he gets these days, truly, but it's better than nothing. There is no stormy mood or frustration about him, not when they were praised for their work by Hideyoshi-sama. He even has a mind to praise Sakon, next time he sees him.
Which probably won't be long. He always seems to manage to find him. So Mitsunari will just hold onto that serenity for a few moments longer and wait.]
