Loki did not think it would. And he pondered that maybe Odin had a greater plan in store for that--
It would require greater thought later. For now he finds himself again on Midguard. He could go home now; he is no longer mortal so he is no longer barred access. But he would still be watched, imprisoned perhaps, and he still has things to do.
When he appears back into Tony's tower without a pause, it is silent.

So he sprawls on the couch as if he lives there.]
