[If there's one thing he found familiarity in, despite the fact that this world was not his own, it was in the occasional fights that he found himself in.
Certainly, Ieyasu had a tendency to wander about on his own. After displaying to the Tokugawa clan exactly why it was that he needed no guards - and he did indeed apologize to the poor fellows who dared to challenge his ability to defend himself - they were willing to grant their lord his freedom. Most of the time, when it came to bandits and people who merely sought to fight with Ieyasu because they could, he was successful in getting by without a single injury to his person.
Sometimes he wasn't so lucky.
Another lord may have had issue with him and that was why, Ieyasu presumed, that when he was taking a stroll by himself around the town in which another one of those meetings were called, he got caught by some local soldiers.
He could not reason with them and he could not convince them to put down their weapons.
He had left his own gloves elsewhere.
In the end, a commotion had occurred in which Ieyasu had succeeded in knocking aside his attackers... but not at a cost. He'd carried all of the unconscious men back to the compound in which they were invited to stay, and that certainly did not help his injuries.
Ieyasu only cursed quietly as he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen from where he had been cut deeply, that pain drowning out the other aches from his arms that were also cut but not so deeply.
The only thing he was certain of now was that certainly the commotion had been heard of and there would be questioning in the morning... but for the time being he leaned against a pillar and weighed his options. Back to the village or to his room-
Or could he see medical attention?
