[It had been a very very long two years.
He'd never quite given up though. Because he had said he would believe, he had said he would wait.
And Ishida Mitsunari does not tell lies.
So he waited. So he did what he could to keep the Land of the Rising Sun peaceful, prosperous. To keep the Toyotomi prosperous.
So he attempted to keep an eye on the Tokugawa clan, though they were well enough off now.
So he attempted--and so he kept himself busy, though late at night, when there was nothing more to busy himself with, he remembered and ran his hands through his messy hair and smiled, tiredly.
He was not bitter, not upset by his choice.
But he was certainly getting tired, and so it was that in the middle of the day he found himself...napping, sprawled over papers on his desk. And so it is that he rather misses the commotion outside of Osaka.]
