Bets;

[Kanetsugu and Mitsunari were undoubtedly excellent friends.

Which was why they do what all excellent friends do and often taunted each other or made bets with each other with embarrassing consequences for the loser.

The thing was, Ieyasu added an interesting extra dynamic to this.

Because Mitsunari already had an amazing amount of faith in his boyfriend--and he would easily bet on just about anything that was fair.

And Ieyasu never failed to deliver.

"He won't call every night" but he did
"He won't bring you flowers" but he did

Everything, no matter what, Ieyasu managed to accomplish without a word from Mitsunari. And one day when he found himself off work early, he wandered home and Kanetsugu smirked and--

"I bet you Ieyasu won't change his plans for you."

To be honest, it left a pit in his stomach, and he stopped and stared. That wasn't...that wasn't a fair thing to ask of Ieyasu, and Mitsunari knew it.

...But he...

He wanted to know. So he accepted the bet--because he had that much faith in Ieyasu.

And then he called.]
